We can’t quite figure it out. Chocolate, once the focal point of the menu, has slipped to third (or last) place of importance, and there’s a strange disconnect between Coco’s hip live-music lounge and purported romantic French-influenced bistro. We found little to like on the small-plates menu: calamari (okay), empanadas (disappointing), pizza (dreadful). But our meal was redeemed by a wonderful American Kobe beef and bacon burger with exemplary fries and a beautiful presentation—and, at last, a chocolate-enhanced barbecue sauce. (6/13)
