Julian’s is under new ownership since our last visit, and the improvements are impressive. The pepper-seared ahi tuna was served with strawberry vinaigrette and a wasabi ranch sauce, the opposing flavors contrasting quite nicely. The Basa—light and flaky Vietnamese whitefish wok-seared and served in a sweet soy-based sauce with scallions and bean sprouts—is our new favorite dish. (6/13)
