Though its location is forgettable (tucked into a shopping center off the main drag), this romantic spot is not. The candle-lit, cavelike atmosphere; extensive wine list; and attentive service combine to make this upscale place a favorite for celebrations. The Escargots Maison, resplendent in their garlic butter, reminded us of a dish we’d enjoyed in a tiny cafe in Normandy. The Filet Mignon Forestière was a work of art, the mustard, garlic, and pepper blending with an almost musical harmony. (7/13)
