HG = “hunt, gather.” It’s a one-page menu, but there are some pretty toothsome items on it. For an appetizer, it would be hard to beat the ginger-garlic hummus with assorted vegetables. Entrées include grilled venison, burgers, and the signature “bowls,” in which you choose your components for endless combinations. We chose quinoa pilaf (studded with pine nuts, kale, and olives) as our base; our protein was slices of ahi tuna cooked just as specified, and our topping was a generous portion of grilled squash, onion, and tomatoes. This rustic, narrow room invites diners to linger over good food, and the rooftop area will be nice when it’s cooler. (9/13)
