Now with a small patio and a sophisticated interior of exposed brick and dark woods edged with red, the former York Street has become a destination for devotees of Vietnamese food. Our taste buds were set atingle by a salad of grilled beef, sautéed shallots, and slivers of green papaya, and we may have developed an addiction to the pork belly banh mi with fresh herbs and pickled vegetables. Dessert was a banana cake unlike any we’ve ever seen; it arrived in a small gratin dish, a veritable mash of bananas with a brûlée-like topping. Next time we’ll go with something else. (9/13)
