What began as a coffee, tea, and beer stop in the ever-so-hot Medical District now serves all of the above and three meals as well. A cozy mix of furniture includes sofas and lounge chairs, and the brunch-time menu offerings are just as inviting: chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, an egg white omelet with spinach and mushrooms. The fried egg sandwich with arugula, bacon, and tomato, served with duck fat sweet potato fries, pairs beautifully with a Dublin-bottled cherry cream soda. (9/13)
