If the deities are delighted with this Upper Kirby newcomer’s dishes (as its name suggests), they clearly favor Asian flavors, from India to the Pacific. From its limited but well-rounded small-plates menu, we chose a naan-based “pizza” loaded with mozzarella, mushrooms, basil pesto, and masala spices. Our second course was the perfect pairing of a light salad with a meat offering: bitter-tart shredded Chinese green papaya and daikon surrounded by cubes of crispy pork belly and tender “Gangnam” pork ribs glazed with Korean barbecue sauce. Designer cocktails complement the spicy offerings, but we opted for a half-price bottle of wine (Thursday nights). Expect hospitable service and industrial-contemporary Asian decor in an intimate setting. (9/13)
