Beef is the draw, and the menu sticks to what it does best—with shrimp, tuna, salmon, and scallops on call as specials most nights. Proprietor Bill Been started Myron’s in a remodeled theater in New Braunfels (still going strong); this Alon Town Centre location, his second, has a subdued “Texas modern” ambience, a small outside seating area, and a wine room. The bone-in ribeye was spectacularly flavorful and tender, and served really hot; they also offer a bone-in filet, a hard-to-find cut. The jalapeño mac and cheese is a true Texan side, and a small iceberg wedge is included with entrées. Prices seemed a bit below what one would expect for premium beef in a steakhouse setting, and service was excellent too. (9/13)
