Guilt, Innocence, and the Death Penalty

More than 200 guests attend the much anticipated panel discussion “Guilt, Innocence, and the Death Penalty: Why Do Mistakes Happen?” co-hosted by Texas Monthly and the LBJ Future Forum at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in Austin, Texas. Moderated by Texas Monthly senior editor Michael Hall, the panel was comprised of key individuals in the Anthony Graves case who shared insight into the successes and failures of the current criminal justice process in Texas. Recently exonerated Anthony Graves, provided guests with a gripping account of life behind bars and what his first day of freedom was like after spending 18 years wrongfully imprisoned.
