Want to do something special for Mother's Day weekend? Bring the whole family to the Highland Park Centennial Literary Festival at the Highland Park United Methodist Church. Adult author sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. and children's sessions begin at 10:30 a.m. All morning sessions are free and open to the public. Also make plans to attend the Keynote Luncheon, where Lawrence Wright and Jake Silverstein will discuss Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief and In the New World , Wright's memoir about growing up in Dallas, recently rereleased in 2013.
