A longstanding neighborhood favorite, this Italian-inspired trattoria continues to draw a loyal following. We started with a creamy white bean dip served with toasted crostini for dipping before sharing a fresh and flavorful mixed green salad with slices of sweet, crispy apples and salty crumbles of Gorgonzola cheese. A simple dish of silky capellini with crushed tomatoes and basil was comforting and delicious, while an order of classic chicken Parmesan hit a soulful note, the meat’s pan-fried crust bathed in a lemon caper sauce. For dessert, we went with a classic and savored an affogato: a scoop of vanilla gelato with a shot of pleasantly bitter espresso splashed over.
