Clark Food & Wine Co.
It may be located in funky Lower Greenville, but it’s classy inside this narrow room, with its exposed brick and real art. “Shared-plate dining” is the MO here (no surprise), so we ordered the Q flatbread, with pulled pork, onion, fontina, ancho chiles, and spinach, and the signature brisket meatballs with balsamic glaze and grated blue cheese. And then, just to make sure everyone was satisfied, we selected the whole smoked chicken, whose succulent meat we carved at the table. No one could resist trying the side of lager-braised Swiss chard, which had a bit of a bite with its Calabrese peppers. We cannot sing high enough praises for the ethereal sticky toffee pudding (we’ll order one only for ourselves next time). (2/15)
