Part of the restaurant explosion at the Pearl, Green is in a class of its own with a wildly imaginative menu that opens vast new possibilities (mushroom Stroganoff, macrobiotic bowls, a buffalo chicken burger made from “wheat meat”). We breakfasted happily on a savory omelet with mozzarella, spinach, and mushrooms and lunched on a generous bowl of crisply fried Asian eggplant and mushrooms atop a mound of brown rice. Informal and rather noisy at lunch, Green is already hugely popular. (7/13)
