Sitting cheek by jowl in this übercool space, we unabashedly asked neighboring diners, “What did you order?” It’s that kind of place—friendly folks, fabulous food. Not often do we get excited by salad, but the Caesar wedge with panko-Parmesan crumbs, anchovies, and pickled lemon rinds was just wonderful. Likewise, crispy-skinned striped bass atop a ruby red mix of cabbage, apple, seaweed, and sesame was so yummy we ordered a baguette to sop it all up. We finished said bread with mild wild boar pâté (with olives) en croute, partnered with zippy tomato conserva and lightly dressed greens. We left pondering what we would order next time. Reservations are not necessary for the small patio and spacious bar. (4/15)
