As the name might suggest, the crew here is made up of restaurant industry veterans, with ties to many now shuttered Austin classics (including Café Josie), and the laid-back open-air space in the Plaza Saltillo development embodies both new and old Austin. The menu is an all-day, late-into-the-night affair, rambling from cauliflower tacos to a serviceable salmon burger. Happy hour libations pair well with the queso, which incorporates pureed green chiles, and the blistered shishito peppers doused in a sweet-spicy glaze under a blanket of finely chopped cilantro. Smoked chicken, with both barbecue sauce and a drizzle of chimichurri, made for tasty tacos, as did better than expected flour tortillas.
