HOT WHEELS Whether you like to ride low and slow, in high style, or with the wind in your face, this month offers several events that will get your motor running. Start your engines at San Antonio’s Low and Slow Classic Car Show, where more than two hundred flashy vehicles strut their eccentric suspensions, paint jobs, and upholstery. Your next stop is at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas, where the theme this year is World in Motion. Celebrate the history of automobiles at the Antique Car Show, then fast-forward to the future at the State Fair 2003 Auto Show, the biggest new-car show in the Southwest, which features luxury cars including the latest models. Then head out on that highway for the Open Road Tour—a ten-city touring festival and the official kickoff of Harley-Davidson’s one hundredth anniversary—which makes its only Texas stop in Fort Worth. The event boasts more than 10,000 bikes, exhibits that chronicle the history of Harley- Davidson, and performances by Aerosmith, Los Lobos, and Stone Temple Pilots.
