Museums/Galleries

Curious tykes won’t know what to do first at the McKenna Children’s Museum: play with a swarm of “butterflies” in the Mine-Control video installation, ride on pommel “ponies” in the Lend-A-Hand Ranch, or tend a real garden full of flowers and vegetables. What with the walk-around aquarium, the hidden-treasure sandbox, the hands-on garden, or the opportunity to paint a full-size VW Beetle, by the time you get ’em home they’ll be all tuckered out.

Open Tue–Sat 10–5, Sun noon–5. Gen adm $5.50, children 11 months & under free. mckennakids.org
