¡Viva! EASB, the Elizabeth Ann Seton Board (EASB) 27th annual benefit, resulted in the highest amount of net proceeds for this event – over $1 million to support programs, building & equipment needs for the Marialice Shivers Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Mother/Baby Services at Seton Medical Center Austin.

“Each year, approximately 5,000 babies are born at Seton, and 800 of those babies need critical care in the NICU,” said Laura Hotze, gala co-chair. “We greatly appreciate the generosity of our Sponsors and guests that helped us raise vital funds to support our community’s tiniest patients and their families from the Austin area and beyond.”

Continued Co-chair Megan Houser, “We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who raised the paddle at the gala, also breaking the record for this fundraising portion of the evening, and most importantly funding a vital social, emotional and nutritional support program for NICU families.”

The event, attended by 1,200 guests on April 28th, featured a lively cocktail party, an elegant dinner buffet, incredible auction packages, and an exciting live concert by Yacht Rock Revue.  The popular “backyard after-party” also featured some of Austin’s most craved food trucks and a fun photo booth.

“¡Viva! EASB offered a fantastic opportunity for our community to rally around this important cause: ensuring that newborns from all walks of life and their families receive the highest level of care with access to the most innovative equipment available,” said EASB President O’Kelley Little.
