The Family Place, Partners Card Co-chairs Elizabeth Dacus, Jane Rozelle and Samantha Wortley, and Honorary Chair Lisa Cooley, Clay Cooley Automotive co-owner and longtime supporter of The Family Place, kicked off Partners Card, presented by Bank of Texas, on May 11, 2016 at “The Alley” at Galleria Dallas. The 2016 theme, Shop Like a Hero, reassures shoppers they are helping stop the cycle of domestic violence.
Attendees snapped photos with Superman and Wonder Woman as The Grill on the Alley passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails provided by Austin Cocktails, and DJ Jennifer Miller entertained. Shop Like a Hero coloring pages and a photo booth with masks and superhero props offered additional entertainment for guests while models presented clothing from participating Partners Card retailers.
The Family Place Chief Executive Officer Paige Flink donned a superhero cape as she addressed the crowd stating that because of their support, 36 women, 66 children and 4 men were currently in safe housing. Proceeds from Partners Card supports The Family Place’s mission to empower victims of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling and skills that create independence.
This year’s 10-day Partners Card shopping extravaganza is set for Friday, October 28 through Sunday, November 6, 2016. Cardholders are invited to shop, dine and save with a 20 percent discount at more than 750 participating retail locations and restaurants throughout the Dallas Metroplex.
