Dan Jenkins is not a fan of modern corporate golf, fancied-up Southwestern food, or the Big 12 conference, but the 82-year-old Fort Worth sportswriting legend took to Twitter like cream gravy on a chicken fried steak.

Jenkins has been using the 140-character medium to cover the four major tournaments for Golf Digest since 2009, amassing more than twenty thousand followers.

This past weekend Jenkins covered his sixty-second straight Masters in Augusta, Georgia, tying him with the Atlanta sportwriter Furman Bisher. (Bisher died two weeks ago.) Next month he’ll become just the third writer (but also the third Fort Worth-native) to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame next month. According to Scott Michaux of the Augusta Chronicle, he is also forty thousand words into his autobiography.

Below, via Storify, eighteen of Jenkins’ best tweets from the Masters, which was won by Bubba Watson in a playoff.
