On Saturday May 4, Dallas Contemporary held BESPOKE, its second annual artist-focused fundraiser that brought in more than $500,000 for exhibitions and learning programs. The presenting sponsor was The Joule Hotel. Major returning sponsors were Dr. Rodger Kobes and Nancy C. & Richard R. Rogers.
More than 350 guests joined Chairman Michelle Moussa and honorary chairs Beth Ewing and Karla McKinley in celebrating the museum’s commitment to contemporary art and education programs. Guests arrived to a red carpet and stunning floral designs by Grange Hall. Cocktails were served during the silent auction of artworks, luxury items and fashion lots. Artistic direction and video screenings were designed by artist John Pomara.
Dallas Contemporary patrons enjoyed dinner and a live auction of luxury, travel and art items which included the highest seller of the night—a photograph by Inez & Vinoodh. Auctioneer Philae Knight, Senior Representative for Phillips auction house encouraged guests to raise their paddles for a total of more than $125,000.
