The Museum Experience is Houston’s newest cultural block party! The Museum Experience features four walkable “zones” to help visitors navigate through the area and learn more about all 19 museums in a more personal way. On the last Saturday of January, April, July and September, each zone will showcase a handful of museums at a time, complete with special programming, pedicabs in select zones and food trucks. PPHM Presents Wildlife and Hunting Photographs from the Panhandle-Plains Region

Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum

This year, the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum will present an exhibition series focused on wildlife and hunting in the Panhandle-Plains that includes the new exhibition Wildlife and Hunting Photographs from the Panhandle-Plains Region. The museum staff will assemble and present a group of often unique photographic images of wildlife and hunting ranging from the mid-1870s through the late 1900s. Come visit this exhibition, which will be featured in the Alexander Gallery from March 7, 2015 – February 6, 2016.

Fulshear Freedom Festival

Scavenger Hunts and Robin Williams Tribute

National Museum of Funeral History 

The National Museum of Funeral History features two exciting scavenger hunts for the young and young at heart. The first hunt leads guests thoughout the museum, encouraging them to find interesting tidbits about the history of the funeral industry. The second hunt focuses on the Celebrating the Lives & Deaths of the Popes exhibit, an interactive way for museum-goers to unearth facts and history about the Vatican and its pope. Guests who submit complete and correct scavenger hunt forms earn a one-time 10% discount on purchases at the museum gift shop. Additionally, NMFH will honor the one-year anniversary of Robin Williams’ death by remembering him with a special tribute event, the highlight of which will be the unveiling of a permanent addition to the museum’s Thanks for the Memories exhibit—the boots Williams wore in the movie RV. After the unveiling, museum-goers will enjoy seeing Williams’ boots in action during a special showing of RV in the museum’s auditorium.
