Texas Film Awards

On Thursday, March 6, 2104, the Austin Film Society honored legends of film and television at the annual Texas Film Awards. With the help of sponsors like Texas Monthly, the star-studded evening held at Austin Studios, Stage 7 raised $580,000 for the Austin Film Society’s programs that support Texas filmmakers, promote film culture and build a renowned local film community. Hosted by Master of Ceremonies Luke Wilson, the event honored: Amber Heard, Rising Star Award, presented by Ryan Kavanaugh; David Gordon Green, presented by Danny McBride; Mac Davis,  Soundtrack Award, presented by Priscilla Presley; Louis Black, Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Richard Linklater; and From Dusk till Dawn, Star of Texas Award, accepted by Robert Rodriguez, Greg Nicotero, Tom Savini,  Danny Trejo and Fred Williamson.

Save the Date: The 15th Texas Film Awards on March 12, 2015, with co-chairs Bobbi Topfer and Armando Zambrano.
