Brian Standefer

Brian Standefer became the multimedia producer for Texas Monthly in 2018. Before that, he spent twenty years as a touring and studio musician, traveling with bands in the U.S. and Europe, and playing on hundreds of records in the studio. He built and ran a recording studio in 2005 for ten years, during which he produced records and wrote scores for commercials, TV, and film. At Texas Monthly he's engineered, scored, and produced podcasts such as The National Podcast of Texas, Boomtown, Tom Brown's Body, and video projects such as Sound Check.
