Doyin Oyeniyi was born in Nigeria but has lived in Texas for most of her life. Since graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.J. in multimedia journalism, she’s written about race, immigration, abortion access, and gun violence in the U.S. and has interviewed many Texas artists, writers, and filmmakers. When she’s not writing, she’s most likely reading fantasy novels, trying out a new recipe, or pretending to train for another marathon.
