Paul Knight joined the staff of Texas Monthly as an assistant editor in the summer of 2011. His work has also appeared in the Dallas Morning News, the Houston Press, the New York Times, and the Texas Observer. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas and has worked with the school’s Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference since its inception. His first book, Devil on the Plains, is scheduled for publication by Penguin in the fall of 2015.
