Every month we bring you a profile of a photographer who has captured the people, the food and the spaces that make up the world of barbecue.

Doug Klembara – Dallas, Texas

Doug Klembara is a Native Texan whose passion for photography has led him around the world. Recently he has photographed in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. As a result, he has had the opportunity to try signature dishes from those cultures. Yet when he returns home, his devotion to Texas BBQ remains steadfast.

“Texas, much like the countries I have visited, has its own unique culture. Nothing compares to the BBQ this state creates. It perfectly embodies the distinctiveness of its people. It’s simply the best.”

“While shooting for The Daytripper and FoodfinderTX, I realized the world of Texas BBQ is incredibly vast. There is so much to explore and each BBQ pit has its own story. ”
