Today is an important milestone in the campaign season — the deadline for candidates to file fundraising reports for the period ending June 30. Keep in mind that Perry and Bell, who ran in primaries, had to file reports in late February, so their totals were achieved during a shorter period than those of the independent candidates, who were last required to file in January. So far I have talked to the Friedman and Bell campaigns and have calls into the Perry and Strayhorn campaigns. Here are the numbers I have, which are unofficial until actually filed:

Friedman:
Amount raised: $1,552,352.35
Amount spent: not available
Cash on hand: $491,372.49

Bell (totals are rounded off):
Amount raised: $1,633,000
Amount spent: $1,313,000
Cash on hand: $655,000
