I talked to Shapleigh’s office. He said at his press conference that he knew that the time had come to leave during the Voter I.D. debate, that it was not the sort of thing that should be foremost on the agenda. There were personal issues as well. A video of the press conference will soon be up on Shapleigh’s web site, if it isn’t already. My El Paso source says that Chavez is definitely running and that Dee Margo wants to run. There will be blood.
