I read in the New York Times that the Missouri Legislature is about to pass a bill that nullifies all federal firearms regulations in the state. In fact, a “Missourian arrested under federal firearm statutes would even be able to sue the arresting officer.”

Readers may find it familiar. Texas had a similar bill, so I suppose we can claim that we beat Missouri to the punch when it comes to the idea. The author was Representative Toth. It passed to engrossment in the House but died on the Senate intent calendar. I would imagine that the next bill will seek to repeal the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution. You would think there might be some limit to this madness, but I haven’t found it yet.
