Too funny! I may be the last person in the world to hear about the cheese cam documenting the aging of Wedginald, a 44-pound cheddar (see picture). Really. You log on and there he (she? it?) is, sitting there, getting imperceptibly older by the millisecond. Watching grass grow is like seeing a Bourne movie, by comparison.
What’s my point? Just this: any Texas cheesemaker could do this and raise money for a favorite charity (which is what will happen when Wedginald is auctioned off in five days). Or just do it for the heck of it. What about a goat cam at Pure Luck, so we can all see the nannies? Or a mozzarella cam at the Texas Mozzarella Company, watching the ladies wash the curds and whey (wait–that doesn’t sound right).
Tell us your favorite Texas cheese company.
