The Breakast Klub, one of Texas Monthly‘s 40 best breakfast places, will be featured in a Wings & Waffles Showdown today on the Steve Harvey Show.
The Houston restaurant has long been recognized in both local and national media for its signature wings and waffle dish–six crispy chicken wings and a buttery Belgian waffle topped with powdered sugar and a fresh strawberry.
The eatery will be pitted against Chicago’s Hash House A Go Go, a national chain, and the champion will be selected from a blind audience taste test.
“We’re pretty confident that we’re going to bring home a victory for The Breakfast Klub, and we’ll find out [the winner] on February 5, along with all of our Houston fans,” Macus Davis, owner of The Breakfast Klub, said in a statement.
Diners are invited to join a viewing party at the Midtown restaurant starting at 2 p.m. today. If the restaurant is crowned the Wings & Waffles champion, complimentary wings will be served until 5 p.m.
