In the “You Heard It Here First” department, I just want to say that fabulous Texas-raised Akaushi beef (see our cover story) is taking off. Chef Rebecca Rather is serving Akaushi sliders at her new restaurant in Fredericksburg, Rebecca’s Table. She reports the mini-burgers are selling like hotcakes. (Her place is open Tuesday through Thursday for dinner, from 5; located at 342 W. Main at Milam.)
