Holy Roller Hosts Pie Eating Contest Benefiting SAFE

December 11, 2018 — Austin, TX

Chef Callie Speer and her team at Holy Roller will welcome some of the city’s most prominent chefs and personalities for a pie eating contest to kick off the holiday season. Defending Champion, Chef Casey Wilcox of Central Standard, will be back for the pie eating showdown. Participants will dive head first into some of Holy Roller’s homemade pies, all in the name of fun and charity while spectators will be able participate by placing bets on who might win. Guests are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets and use those to bet on the chef or personality they believe will take the cake, well… pie in this case. From there, the raffle tickets from the winning chefs’ bucket will be drawn for some raffle prizes, including a pair of wristbands for weekend 2 of ACL 2019!

100% of the proceeds from the raffle tickets sold will benefit SAFE (the merger of Safe Place and Austin Children’s Shelter) which is an organization that aims to help women and children who have been affected by domestic violence.
There will be pie on hand from Holy Roller’s own Britt Castro. There may be no better way to celebrate the holidays with some friends and raise money for women and children in need. Event starts at 6:00 pm.
