Austin Symphony Orchestra Maestro Peter Bay conducts Leonard Bernstein’s masterpiece, “MASS: A Theatre Piece for Singers, Players and Dancers” onstage for two nights only at The Long Center June 29th and 30th. It is a part of Austin’s celebration of Bernstein’s 100th birthday and represents the largest performing arts collaboration in Austin’s history. Produced by Merick, “MASS” features the Austin Symphony Orchestra, members of Ballet Austin, Grammy Winning Conspirare, The African Children’s Choir, the University of Texas Longhorn Band, Chorus Austin, Panoramic Voices, Chisholm Trail Middle School, a specially formed Youth Choir and more. This is a rare opportunity to experience Leonard Bernstein’s most epic work in a fully staged performance with over 300 cast and crew. “MASS” is not to be missed.
