Two Buck Chuck for Texas! This week Trader Joe’s confirmed it has signed a lease on a building in San Antonio, the specialty grocery store chain’s fifth location in the Lone Star State. Here’s where the five Trader Joe’s are set to open later this year:
Fort Worth
2701 South Hulen St., 12,500-square foot store in in a space formerly occupied by Ronnie’s Catfish & More.
Opening: Spring 2012
Houston
10868 Kuykendahl Road, 13,500-square foot store in the Woodlands Crossing Shopping Center, next to a Petco.
Opening: Spring 2012
Plano
2400 Preston Road, 15,000-square foot store in a former Kroger in Preston Towne Crossing Shopping Center.
Opening: Spring 2012
Dallas
2001 Greenville Ave., 15,000-square foot store on the site of the historic Arcadia Theater, which burned down in 2006.
Opening: Fall 2012
San Antonio
350 East Basse Road, 11,000-square-foot store in a former West Elm in Quarry Village Center.
Opening: TBA

2922 S. Shepherd Drive, 14,500-square foot store in the Alabama Theater, former 25-year home of the Alabama Bookstop bookstore.
