1 15- or 16-ounce can garbanzos (chick peas)
2 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste)
1 tablespoon pure olive oil
1 teaspoon fresh pressed garlic or prepared garlic paste
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Drain garbanzos, reserving liquid. Blend first 5 ingredients in food processor or blender, adding enough liquid to mix. Season to taste.
