Explore the diverse and dynamic terroir of South Texas at the weekly Pearl Farmers Market.
Halfway through its fifth year, the Pearl Farmers Market is a year-round, producers-only market (they plant, grow and harvest all of the extensive produce and products such as chicken, lamb, beef, eggs) with all vendors located within a 150-mile radius of San Antonio. The market also features live music as well as a wide array of prepared foods such as crepes, empanadas and tacos cooked up by Nao chefs and served out of the CIA’s outdoor kitchen. Summer is a rich growing season featuring artichokes, tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, peppers (bell, banana, cayenne, jalapeno, habanero, Serrano), peaches, plums, summer squash, onions, leeks and, of course, watermelon.
