There is no more time-honored tradition, that the Red River Showdown™ each year at the State Fair of Texas®. The game between the University of Texas and the University of Oklahoma has been played in the Cotton Bowl since 1929 and is an iconic staple of the State Fair.  Each year more than 100,000 people attend the game.

The Cotton Bowl is not the only place to experience football this year at the State Fair.  In 2014, the State Fair will present in collaboration with the Texas Sports Hall of Fame an exhibit that honors “Texas Sports Legends.”  Fairgoers will be able to see memorabilia from Texas Sport Legends in football, basketball, hockey, soccer, baseball, golf and much more.
