The Smoking Gun • Created in Austin, Texas
Kate from Austin showcases her “Smoking Gun” cocktail which she tailored for the vanilla finish of Bulleit Bourbon.
Recipe:
1.5 oz Bulleit Bourbon
.75 oz Coffee Liqueur
.5 oz Vanilla Simply Syrup (1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
4 dashes of Angostura bitters
Stirred, poured into a rocks glass with ice, and garnish with an orange zest.
The Bark Knight • Created in Dallas, Texas
Gavin, a bartender in Dallas, designed a cocktail that combines cinnamon with Bulleit Rye’s spicy finish to create a sweet and smoky concoction he calls “The Bark Night.”
Recipe:
2 oz Bulleit Rye Whiskey
.25 oz Cinnamon Syrup
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
3 dashes Chocolate Bitters
Smoked glass with cinnamon stick
Stirred, served in double glass, garnish with charred cinnamon stick and expressed orange peel
The Outlaw • Created in Houston, Texas
In Houston, bartender Franklin “Frankie” puts a fun twist on prohibition-era cocktails to create recipes like the one in this video. Inspired by the film Lawless, The Outlaw is a blend of sophistication and swagger that is sure to impress your family and friends.
Recipe:
1.5 oz Bulleit Bourbon
.5 oz Lemon Juice
.5oz Blood Orange Vermouth
One Egg White
.25oz Simple Syrup
2 sprays of spicy habanero reduction
Shake once with ice and once without
Strain into glass
Toasted oils of lemon zest
