Carlsbad, New Mexico, is truly an oasis in the desert. Carlsbad has long been known for the world-famous Carlsbad Caverns, but Carlsbad is more than just a day trip. With the gorgeous Pecos River flowing right through town, a natural waterfall and spring at Sitting Bull Falls, and spectacular hiking at Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Carlsbad truly gives you the opportunity to do something you’ve never done before. In addition to our outdoor adventures, Carlsbad has a very rich history and culture. When visiting Carlsbad, some must-do items are visiting our Heritage Park and Flume area, Veterans Memorial Park, and Halagueno Arts Park, along with the Carlsbad Museum and Arts Center.
Carlsbad is the place for families too, with the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, and Carlsbad Beach area where your kids can play on our many different playground areas, sand volleyball court, splash pad, and of course the Carlsbad Water Park (open from Memorial Day to Labor Day). We would be remiss if we didn’t mention that Carlsbad has some of the best flavors of the Southwest as well. For more info, and to plan your trip, visit our website.
