Thank you to all who voted. Our winner is…LYNNETTE
The Texas Optimism Project spotlights extraordinary Texans who embody resilience. Recently we asked readers: What is your advice on optimism? We received many great responses, but a few caught our eye. Out of the three featured in our poll, you voted for your favorite optimism tip and Lynnette won. Her neighbors rallied around her to grow support for her charity of choice, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands. Below is Lynnette’s inspiring optimism tip.
Seeks Ways to Build Community
“I try to build community and strengthen my relationships. At our house we built a front yard patio with six yellow Adirondack chairs. When we sit to there, neighbors join us for an impromptu glass of wine, people in cars wave, and walkers share a friendly word. It’s uplifting to build memories and learn people’s stories.”

Thank you to all of our participants and those who keep spreading positivity. Everyone went home a winner in our books.
