With Partners Card right around the corner, approximately 150 guests joined together at Mulberry in NorthPark Center for a Seller Soirée on September 16, 2015. The annual shopping fundraiser, presented by Bank of Texas, offers the community a unique opportunity to come together and give back in a fun and rewarding way. With the purchase of a $70 Partners Card, shoppers are given a 20% discount at more than 750 participating retailers and restaurants over a period of 10 days with 100 percent of the purchase price going directly to The Family Place, Dallas’ largest family violence agency.
The celebratory evening was full of friends, shopping, hors d’oeuvres and door prizes. DJ Lucy Wrubel set the tone of the evening with her fun and upbeat music. Partners Card 2015 Co‐Chairs Melissa Boler, Debbie Munir and Ashlee Weidner led remarks, followed by Bank of Texas Executive Vice President Bob White. White expressed how immensely proud Bank of Texas is to associate and partner with The Family Place, “The Family Place is led by a dreamer, and all of you [Partners Card participants] are dreamers.” With a warm introduction, CEO Paige Flink took over and explained just how crucial this fundraiser is to The Family Place: “The purchase of one Partners Card pays for one night of shelter for a mother and child. Tonight at the shelter we have: 41 women, 56 children and 1 man.”
To conclude the evening, two guests were awarded Mulberry’s own Georgia May Jagger Collection biker pouches. In the spirit of giving, the first prizewinner, Connie Nash, a Family Place survivor, presented her biker pouch to her dear friend, Myriam Prodanovic. Prodanovic purchased Nash’s first Partners Card when she first started as a seller. The second place prizewinner was Andrea Woolford.
Guests included: Christy Berry, Paula Davis, Connie Nash, Jimmy Conway, Susan Conway, Kelli Colbert, Joan Mason, Jody Coffey, Terry Dalrymple, Andrea Cheek, Maggie Kipp, Carolyn Kerins, Dawn Spalding, Gay Donnell, Myriam Prodanovic, Kelly Carden, and Sara and Cass Robinson.
