We slid into our red-and-black booth, skeptical of finding tasty Chinese food in a Tex-Deutsch town. And so we ordered old standbys like General Tso’s, sesame beef, and Singapore noodles. The General featured large chunks of tender chicken, and the sesame beef was flavorful and not overwhelmed by sauce. The thread-like Singapore noodles were laced with shrimp, bits of beef, chicken, and pork dressed in a light curry-style sauce. We went home laden with leftovers.
