Charmed from the get-go, we had a relaxed, refined dinner in this lovely space tucked away on Memorial Drive. Family owned and operated, this gem oozes hospitality. Along with a particularly fine wine list, expect classic Italian appetizers such as Tuscan white bean and kale soup with fennel sausage and crostini and a well-constructed salad with greens, poached pear, candied pecans, and shredded Gorgonzola. Entrées include an agreeably crusted veal milanese with ultralight lemon-caper butter and picture-pretty caramelized diver scallops dolloped with tomato-bacon jam, nestled atop basil risotto, and streaked with aged balsamic glaze. The rest of the menu offers pastas, chicken, steaks, and even a good-looking burger.
