Bay 34th St Pizzeria
The aroma got us right away, but when the owner greeted us like family, we knew we were in good hands. In a nondescript shopping strip, a father-and-son team have created a little slice of Brooklyn right here in Dallas. The space is tiny, with few tables inside, but we found a nice spot on the patio and feasted on a large cheese pizza, bubbling hot, with a thin, crispy crust, tangy red sauce, and gooey melted mozzarella. We also ordered a calzone stuffed to bursting with fresh vegetables and a Caprese salad with thick slices of tomato and mozzarella adorned with basil leaves, balsamic, and olive oil. The cannoli is worth the extra calories.
