The only problem we have with this sweet little winery in far northeast Texas is that the mostly German-themed kitchen serves only four meals a week (lunch and early dinner on Friday and Saturday). We made an afternoon of it on a recent spring day, starting with the lovely charcuterie plate, which was generous with local cheeses, meat and sausage, crackers, and fruit. We paired this with several of Bella’s wines, and our favorite was the award-winning Just Right Red. We could not pass up the jaeger schnitzel special, a well-seasoned pork cutlet pan-fried and smothered with creamy onion, mushroom, and bacon sauce, which we coupled with a salad, for balance. We finished off this perfect afternoon with chocolate mousse cups.
