CLOSED – Bet The House BBQ

Something new to Denton—thoughtful barbecue that’s gone when it’s gone. Bet The House BBQ has the potential, and seemingly the intention, to make a real mark in North Texas, but a clean fire is what’s needed to attain their lift goals. If it was all about effort and drive, this place would be a shoe-in for the Top 50, but in terms of execution there’s still room for improvement.

Very interesting review….wonder why they wouldn’t use some sort of oak from the beginning. Most people I have heard from say it is very solid, but they are no BBQ Snob…hope they will get it figured out soon as we are still wanting to try them out.

I’m sure they are still tweaking. My husband I have been going there since April, and normally have brisket and pulled pork, potato salad and coleslaw. It’s out favorite and I’ve not felt that it was overly smoky in taste (which I do not like!) I hope you’ll come give it another try in 2015!

Stopped by for a bite. It aint bad but I could tell these boys aren’t into it like a BBQ-Lifer, ya know. I asked one young boy and he said that the 2 owners have Day Jobs and this be a second income. That would explain the lack of love in the meat and the meat being left alone all night. A true BBQ man watches his BBQ like a baby.
