Burgers are standard takeout, and Big’z puts its premium stamp on the entire experience, with easy call-in orders, a quick pickup at the counter, and, if you want to eat on premises, a large outdoor patio and playground with lots of spreading-out space. Order this to go: Any burger. The Big’z Famous #1 (single patty with all the fixings) is top-notch. If you want gooier, go for the chalupa burger (though the crispy tostada doesn’t exactly keep its crisp for long). The chilled Cobb salad is big enough for two to share, with its chunks of blue cheese, tender chicken, bacon, egg, and more. The thick-cut skin-on fries are, of course, best hot, so just eat them on the ride home. Pro tip: Big’z deconstructs its takeout burgers so that you reassemble everything once you get home; it’s all carefully packed so that nothing ends up soggy or smooshed.
