Black Cat Pizza
Over in South Main Village, chef Jaime Fernandez makes pizza special again, crafting large pies with carefully curated and thoughtfully combined ingredients. You can get your usual, no problem. And it will be excellent. But the offbeat choices are too fun to ignore. Can’t decide? Get a 50-50 pie or just a few slices of different pizzas, if you like. Order this to go: The Red Fang combines Spanish chorizo, roasted tomatoes, red onion, mozzarella, and provolone over marinara, with a drizzle of Thai chile–infused honey and a sprinkle of microgreens. Veggie lovers can’t resist the TMNT, covered in shaved broccoli, brussels sprouts, zucchini, kale, arugula, Parmesan, mozzarella, and provolone over pesto, with Marcona almonds atop. The Caprese salad is as pretty as it is satisfying. Pro tip: Ingredients change seasonally; look for cannoli featuring strawberry-rhubarb filling during summer, for instance.
